Receiving care for a mental illness, 2018
Mental illness affects many Canadians at some point in their lives, whether personally or through a family member, friend or colleague. In 2018, mental illness was the most common reason for receiving care (18%), especially among young care receivers aged 15 to 34 (56%). Receiving care for a mental illness was more common among young men (52%) than young women (48%).
Building construction price indexes, fourth quarter 2019
Prices for residential building construction increased 0.5% in the fourth quarter, while the cost of non-residential building construction rose 0.4%.
Canadian business counts, December 2019
Nationally, there were 1,311,397 active businesses with employees in December. Provincially, Ontario reported the highest number of active businesses with employees (484,399), followed by Quebec (268,797), British Columbia (206,496) and Alberta (175,385).
