Briefing at 2:30 p.m. on outbreaks in Campbellton and Moncton regions

The New Brunswick government will provide an update on two COVID-19 outbreaks in the province at a news briefing Tuesday afternoon.

Premier Blaine Higgs, Education Minister Dominic Cardy and Dr. Jennifer Russell, the chief medical officer, will all speak at the briefing, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

New Brunswick has 76 active cases of COVID-19, a record number for the pandemic in the province. All of the cases are in the Moncton region (Zone 1) or the Campbellton region (Zone 5). Five people are in hospital, including one in intensive care.
