Alberta has administered 120,357 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine

Despite supply problems, Alberta’s COVID-19 immunization rollout has crept forward, reaching elders in at least one northern First Nation.

Kehewin Cree Nation received 100 doses of Moderna, and marked the beginning of its distribution with a ceremony Monday that centred on the nation’s oldest members.

“Everyone is happy, this is a landmark moment,” said Dr. James Makokis, a family doctor for the community.
