Women with Disabilities in Canada: FAFIA and DAWN submit a report to the CRPD!

FAFIA and the DisAbled Women’s Network Canada (DAWN Canada) submitted a report to the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) on the occasion of Canada’s first report on its compliance with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Women with disabilities’ experiences of discrimination in Canada are shaped not only by barriers based on ability but also gender discrimination, which can be further complicated with other intersections, including race, age, and other forms of discrimination.
