The City of Ottawa’s archives, in collaboration with Carleton University and the University of Ottawa, is still documenting the COVID-19 pandemic by asking residents for photos, correspondences, artwork and any other records that might show future generations what this time was like.
Digital images make up the majority of submissions so far, largely because pandemic restrictions have meant archivists can’t accept physical donations.

How many cases are there?
As of Tuesday, Ottawa has a total of 30,535 cases of COVID-19. There are 237 known active cases, 29,696 cases are considered resolved, and 602 people have died from the illness.
