Quebec Premier Francois Legault is slated to hold a news conference at 1 p.m. today where he is expected to announce further loosening of public health restrictions.

According to Radio-Canada, Legault is set to announce further easing of restrictions in restaurants, no more limits on home gatherings, the reopening of the province’s bars and the resumption of organized sports games.

Ottawa’s COVID-19 hospitalization total and coronavirus wastewater levels both continue to decline. Five more residents with COVID-19 have died.

The museums of history, nature, war and the National Gallery of Canada have their return from COVID-19 rules delayed until further notice because of the disruptive protests in Ottawa against COVID-19 rules. They had planned to open last Wednesday, then this Wednesday.

The city is still telling people to avoid non-essential travel in Ottawa, especially downtown, and many shops, services and roads are closed in the core.
