Quebec cinemas, theatres, concert halls and sports venues are allowed to reopen at 50 per cent capacity or a maximum of 500 people (1,000 for outdoor events) and proof of vaccination is required for entry. Places of worship can also reopen with a cap of 250 vaccinated people.

Ontario is easing visitor and day trip restrictions at long-term care homes today.

Ottawa Public Health’s COVID-19 vaccine hub at the Jules Morin Fieldhouse on Clarence Street remains closed today because of the disruptions caused by the ongoing pandemic rule protests downtown.

The closure of the clinic at the University of Ottawa Minto Sports Complex has been extended until Wednesday.

Numbers to watch
Testing can’t meet demand during the Omicron wave, meaning many people with COVID-19 won’t be reflected in the case count. Hospitalizations and wastewater monitoring can help fill in some of the grey areas.
