Food First NL wants to share the story of their project

Food First NL has been working with the Nunatsiavut and local governments in Labrador for the last few years on a large project to support access to healthy, safe, culturally appropriate food.

Now, in the tail end of the second phase of the project, called Nikigijavut Nunatsiavutinni, which in English means ‘Our food in Nunatsiavut,’ the non-profit released videos on their website to show the changes they have made, in the voices and sounds of Labrador.

Gioia Montevecchi, Project Manager for Food First NL, said this past year they released the project impact report, which shows the highlights of improved access to healthy food and traditional food skills. However, they wanted to do something different.
