Waqatasg Elder’s Care Facility – Call for Artists

The Listuguj Community Health Center announces a call for Listuguj Artists for paintings, drawings, or original prints for our own Waqatasg Elder’s Care Facility.

The artwork will be displayed in the ‘living areas’ for residents to appreciate and enjoy.

We ask that Artists reflect on the nature and hope that define our people, both past and present. The imagery should be grounded in our Mi’gmaq Core Principles of Love, Respect, Humility, Honesty, Truth, Wisdom, and Courage.
The art that is selected for installation will be purchased from the Artist. The piece(s) will become the property of the Listuguj Community Health Center and the Waqatasg Elder’s Care Facility.

Criteria for Selection:
– Must be 18 years old and over.
– Must be a Registered Member of Listuguj First Nation

– Artwork dimensions

– Application deadline: October 31, 2023
