Community Star Awards are presented annually in recognition of the volunteer efforts of individuals and groups to help their communities be healthier and safer.
“I hope that the work of each award winner will inspire others to be volunteers in their communities and to foster healthy lifestyles in our province,” Murphy said. “I encourage all New Brunswickers to take part in the promotion of healthy communities so that every resident can be well and join our province’s efforts to reach self-sufficiency by 2026.”
Addiction services are a key component of Transforming New Brunswick’s Health-care System: the Provincial Health Plan, 2008-12, released in April.
