Two-Spirit awareness the goal at weekend session – 660News

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – There is an interactive conversation Friday on two-spirit past and present.
Spirit Leader Harlan Pruden says the goal is to increase awareness about what it means to be a two-spirit Indigenous person.
He says they also want to offer a framework to better understanding of Indigenous gender identity, expression, and sexuality.
The event takes place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday night at Hillhurst United Church.
Other events this weekend include a reconciliation workshop Saturday morning and Pruden will offer special prayers and a reflection during Sunday services.
