Tuktoyaktuk opens warming shelter in -38C power outage – Cabin Radio

The Hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk has turned its school gymnasium into a warming shelter after the Arctic coastal community lost power in temperatures of -38C.
The outage reportedly began in the early hours of Thursday.
The NWT Power Corporation said it was sending a team from Inuvik to try to fix the problem, which was not specified.
