Press Release
April 7, 2021
(amiskwacîwâskahikan) Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta in partnership with the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations will be hosting an Urban First Nations Vaccine Clinic from April 12-15, 2021 at the Venue at River Cree, Enoch Cree Nation.
We are addressing the inequitable rollout of vaccines and are pushing the Federal and Provincial governments to recognize all of our First Nations Citizens on or off reserve. The Province of Alberta has shown disparity with the vaccine rollout in relation to the First Nations population in Alberta. Our citizens must have equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine regardless of residency.
