The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is proud to announce this year’s CMA Awards recipients — 14 changemakers who are building a stronger health care system for everyone.
These awards celebrate excellence in leadership and advocacy, including expanding access to care, addressing health care inequities and transforming medical education.

The 2025 CMA Awards recipients are:
- Dr. Noni MacDonald — F.N.G. Starr Award
- Dr. Joan Cheng — CMA May Cohen Award for Women Mentors
- Dr. W. Ward Flemons — Dr. William Marsden Award in Medical Ethics and Professionalism
- Colonel (Retired) Dr. Neil Gibson — John McCrae Memorial Medal
- Mr. John Gray — Owen Adams Award of Honour
- Dr. Saryn Hingston — Dr. Ashok Muzumdar Memorial Award for Physicians with Disabilities
- Dr. Éolie Delisle — Dr. Brian Brodie Organizational Leadership Development Award (resident)
- Dr. Chaten Jessel — Dr. Brian Brodie Organizational Leadership Development Award (student)
- Dr. Nazia Sharfuddin — CMA Award for Young Leaders (early career)
- Dr. Supriya Singh — CMA Award for Young Leaders (early career)
- Dr. Mehr Jain — CMA Award for Young Leaders (resident)
- Dr. Maria Leis — CMA Award for Young Leaders (resident)
- Dr. Jordin Fletcher — CMA Award for Young Leaders (student)
- Dr. Eddie Guo — CMA Award for Young Leaders (student)
Nominations for the 2026 CMA Awards will open on Sept. 30.
