Declared State of Emergency:

Today, TNG declared a State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are taking this precaution to protect elders and other members from the spread of COVID-19.

As part of the emergency response, the Tŝilhqot’in Nation has closed access to all six Tŝilhqot’in communities to visitors: Tl’etinqox (Anaham), Yuneŝit’in, Tŝideldel, Tl’esqox (Toosey), ʔEsdilagh and Xeni Gwet’in (Nemiah Valley). These communities are closed to all visitors except caregivers, medical and emergency personnel and essential services.

Please check in with each community as they each have their own specific exemptions and restrictions regarding the closure.

Please note that TNG’s order closing the Tŝilhqot’in communities to visitors is NOT a closure of Highway 20. Highway 20 remains open.
