The Métis Giving Tree for Elders – MNBC

December 6, 2016

NEMA is happy to announce a new Metis tradition we will be starting this year!

We invite the Elders to come into NEMA’s office on Thursday, Dec 15, 2016.

This event will be starting at 12:00P.M.

There will be a gift for each of the elders. There will be stew, and bannock served at 12:00P.M. There will also be hot beverages.

We have decorated a Metis giving tree in the NEMA office, and are accepting donations for this event for the Elders.

The donations of gifts to the Elders will be placed under the tree, and given to them on this day. Dawson Creek’s Mayor, Mr. Dale Bumstead will be attending this event from 1p.m. to 4p.m. He will be dressed as Santa Claus to hand out the gifts to the Elders. Mayor Bumstead will start handing out the gifts at 1P.M.

We look forward to this event, and we hope to spread some holiday cheer to the Elders!

Please help us in honoring our Elders, thank you very much in advance for your gift donations.

If you wish to donate you can purchase a gift for either a female, or male Elder, or both, the donations can be dropped off at NEMA’s office at 11401-8th Street, Northern Lights College Campus (ADB) Building #12.
