Apr 23, 2025
The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is proud to share the 2025/26 Summary Service Plan, Paddling Together: First Nations Health Authority Health and Wellness Plan. This Plan charts the next phase of our shared journey toward our collective vision of Healthy, Self-Determining, and Vibrant BC First Nations Children, Families, and Communities.
How We Refreshed the Plan
Paddling Together, the 2025/26 Summary Service Plan builds on what the FNHA has learned and heard through extensive engagement with First Nations across BC. It is informed by a comprehensive environmental scan that drew on diverse sources, including community and regional health and wellness plans, evaluation findings, and engagement feedback.
The refreshed Plan reflects new and emerging trends and priorities that are shaping health and wellness services, influencing First Nations health outcomes, and impacting FNHA’s operating environment.
Goals that Guide Our Work
Grounded in FNHA’s 7 Directives and Shared Values, and guided by our Shared Vision, the Plan identifies five key goals:
These goals are closely aligned with the priorities of each region. The Plan includes clear strategies for advancing each goal area, performance measures to monitor progress, and operational priorities that highlight the FNHA’s annual focus to support goal achievement.
Our Guideposts
To ensure our work remains aligned with First Nations values, priorities, and ways of being, the FNHA is also guided by five key Guideposts.
