Canada’s population estimates: Age and gender, July 1, 2024
The population of Canada reached an estimated 41,288,599 on July 1, 2024. With a quarterly growth rate of 0.6%, this means that 250,229 people were added to the Canadian population from April 1 to July 1, 2024.
Canada’s population estimates, second quarter 2024
Population estimates for Canada, the provinces, and territories on July 1, 2024, are now available. These new data allow for an analysis of population growth during the second quarter of 2024. Updated estimates from the third quarter of 2021 to the first quarter of 2024 are also available. Demographic estimates up to and including the second quarter of 2021 are final.

Births and stillbirths, 2023
The number of live births in Canada in 2023 was virtually unchanged compared to 2022 at 351,477. This follows a 5.0% decline in the number of births from 2021 to 2022.
Oil and gas extraction, 2023
Data from the Oil and Gas Extraction Survey for 2023 is now available. The Oil and Gas Extraction Survey provides data on financial, income and balance sheet information as well as operating statistics of establishments in the oil and gas extraction industry.
Deliveries of major grains, August 2024
Data on major grain deliveries are now available for August.
Oilseed crushing statistics, August 2024
Oilseed processors crushed 850 529 tonnes of canola in August. Oil production totalled 363 165 tonnes, while meal production totalled 494 028 tonnes.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, August 2024
Millers milled 293 993 tonnes of wheat in August, while wheat flour production totalled 219 575 tonnes.

Weekly data on aircraft itinerant movements are now available for September 7 to 13, 2024.
