Canada’s international transactions in securities, July 2025
Foreign investors acquired $26.7 billion of Canadian securities in July, led by purchases of federal government debt instruments and equity securities. Meanwhile, Canadian investors added $17.4 billion of foreign securities to their portfolio, including a record investment in foreign bonds.

In 2025, Canadian farmers are projected to produce more wheat, canola, corn for grain, barley, and oats but less soybeans, compared with 2024, according to recent yield model estimates using satellite imagery and agroclimatic data.

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a medical condition defined by the presence of a group of factors that increase the risk of developing heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Its components include abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, low “good” cholesterol and high triglycerides. Recent research shows that having MetS doubles the risk of heart problems and multiplies the risk of diabetes by five.
