Having someone to count on, January to March, 2022
According to Canadian Social Survey data from January to March 2022, three-quarters (75%) of people aged 15 years and older said that they always or often have someone to depend on to help them when they really need it. In comparison, 17% said that they sometimes have someone to count on and 7% said that they rarely or never do.

In 2018, nearly two-thirds (64%) of people aged 15 or older reported gambling at least once in the past year.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on university finances for the 2020/2021 fiscal year
During the 2020/2021 COVID-19 pandemic year, Canadian universities reported record-high surplus revenues of $7.3 billion, the highest since Statistics Canada started collecting data in 2000/2001. Collectively, universities demonstrated resilience by rapidly transitioning to virtual learning environments and performed better than projected, despite travel restrictions affecting international students, campus services being closed, and residences operating at lower capacity.
Police-reported crime statistics: Data now available in the Canadian Statistical Geospatial Explorer
Police-reported crime indicators are now available in the Canadian Statistical Geospatial Explorer (CSGE). The CSGE allows users to visually explore data on topics, such as the Crime Severity Index, crime rate, hate crime, cybercrime, organized crime, homicide, and police resources. The data can be viewed at various levels of geography and for multiple years.
Income of families and individuals: Subprovincial data from the T1 Family File, 2020
Family and individual income data for 2020 are now available from the T1 Family File (T1FF) for Canada, provinces, territories, and various subprovincial and subterritorial geographic areas. Income data from this release include amounts associated with government income support programs and benefits for COVID-19.
