Canada’s balance of international payments, second quarter 2022

Canada’s current account surplus (on a seasonal adjusted basis) amounted to $2.7 billion in the second quarter, a level similar to the surplus recorded in the first quarter. This balance reflected a higher trade in goods surplus offset by higher trade in services and investment income deficits.

Estimates of Inter-jurisdictional Employment in Canada by Province and Territory, 2018

Updated estimates for inter-jurisdictional employees in Canada for each jurisdiction, total counts and T4 earnings disaggregated by North American Industry Classification System, age and gender, are available through the Common Output Data Repository (Tables 14-10-0402-01, 14-10-0403-01, 14-10-0404-01, and 14-10-0405-01). This release is a revised set of estimates with updated data selection and vetting protocols, compared with the previously released estimates on December 6, 2021.

Poultry and egg statistics, August 2022

Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats, as well as edible dried egg products, are now available for August. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for July 2022, and data on egg production are available for June 2022.
