National balance sheet and financial flow accounts, third quarter 2024
Households were wealthier in the third quarter of 2024 as their net worth—the value of all assets minus all liabilities—increased $287.7 billion (+1.7%) to $17,287.1 billion.
Building permits, October 2024
The total value of building permits issued in Canada decreased by $399.1 million (-3.1%) to $12.6 billion in October.
New motor vehicle registrations, third quarter 2024
Canadians registered 483,287 new motor vehicles in the third quarter, an increase of 5.7% from the same quarter in 2023 and a decrease of 5.5% from the second quarter of 2024.
Maple products, 2024
Canadian maple producers harvested 19.9 million gallons of maple syrup in 2024, up 91.3% compared with 2023. Favourable weather conditions and increased yields contributed to a record harvest in 2024. Production was higher across all four maple-producing provinces in 2024 after a challenging 2023 due to severe weather, such as storms and temperature fluctuations.

Provisional death counts, January 2021 to September 2024
Today’s release includes new and updated adjusted counts of death from the Canadian Vital Statistics Death Database, covering the period from January 3, 2021, to October 5, 2024. The Provisional Deaths in Canada Dashboard, which provides the most recent insights on mortality trends, as well as interactive data visualization tools, has been updated.
Mental Health and Access to Care Survey, 2022
Two data tables with mental health indicators from the 2022 Mental Health and Access to Care Survey are now available. One table is focused on disaggregation by geography and the other is focused on disaggregation for select racialized groups.
