In September, ridership on Canada’s urban transit networks continued to recover, reaching 134.7 million passenger trips. This represents over four-fifths (82.1%) of the September 2019 level, before the COVID-19 pandemic, the highest recovery rate to date.
Automotive equipment rentals and leasing, 2022
The operating revenue of the automotive equipment rental and leasing industry group increased by 20.8% in 2022 to $8.6 billion. It took two years for the industry group to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic; operating revenues in 2022 were nearly 10% above 2019 levels. This industry group includes establishments primarily engaged in renting or leasing vehicles, such as passenger cars, passenger vans, trucks, truck tractors, buses, semi-trailers, utility trailers and recreational vehicles, without drivers.

A new data table using data from the Canadian Health Measures Survey cycles 1 to 6 (2007 to 2019) is available today. The table includes estimates of the prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes in Canada, as well as diabetes awareness, treatment and control.
