Health and well-being of women and Girls living in communities at varying levels of remoteness, 2015 to 2018

Today, a new study looks at the Health and well-being profile of women and girls by the relative remoteness of their communities. The results show that women and girls living in more remote areas fell behind their counterparts living in more accessible areas in several health outcomes, including perceived health and mental health, access to health services, and all-cause mortality and suicide mortality rates.
