Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, March 2024
The Industrial Product Price Index increased 0.8% month over month in March and fell 0.5% on a yearly basis. The Raw Materials Price Index rose 4.7% from February to March and was up 0.8% year over year in March.
New Housing Price Index, March 2024
The national index was unchanged on a monthly basis in March. Prices were unchanged in 12 of the 27 census metropolitan areas (CMAs) surveyed, declined in 6 and rose in the remaining 9 CMAs.
Households and the Environment Survey: Energy use, 2021
Data from the 2021 Households and the Environment Survey related to residential energy consumption by total household income, and type of dwelling, are now available.
Study: Enhancing data for rural Canada: Small area estimation of remote work opportunities
In a designed survey, sample sizes are usually insufficient to generate direct estimates with adequate precision for small areas. This is a typical situation for rural and remote communities. In such a situation, Small Area Estimation (SAE) calibrates appropriate statistical models that link survey data to auxiliary data available for the entire population to produce reliable estimates for small areas.
