Physical activity among adults and youth during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2018 and 2020
Over one-third (37.2%) of youth aged 12 to 17 met the Canadian physical activity recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic, compared with half (50.8%) of youth before the pandemic, according to a new study published by Statistics Canada.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic had a detrimental effect on the demand for gasoline and diesel fuels in Canada. Following a year of no growth in 2019, the total gross sales of gasoline fell to a 20-year low of 38.6 billion litres in 2020.
