Canada’s international transactions in securities, January 2024
Foreign investment in Canadian securities amounted to $8.9 billion in January, led by acquisitions of government debt securities. Meanwhile, Canadian investors reduced their holdings of foreign securities by $7.6 billion, led by sales of equity securities.
Wholesale trade, January 2024
Wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) grew 0.1% to $82.4 billion in January.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, globalization and participation in global supply chains were often associated with economic benefits.
