The boil water advisory is lifted for the affected areas – City of Iqaluit

Public Health Advisory

The Department of Health advises residents of Iqaluit that the boil water advisory is lifted. The affected areas are:

• Buildings 157, 159, 161, 163 on Nipisa Street, between Queen Elizabeth Way and Kuugalaaq Street.

Boiling water is no longer necessary for the following: the adult education services and early childhood education office of the Department of Education, Ayaya Marketing and Communications, Quick Stop, Video Shack, The Snack, the Northern Employees Union Hall, Qulliq Energy, and residential apartments at these addresses.

The boil water advisory is lifted because two sets of bacterial water sample results, collected after completion of maintenance activities, showed no bacterial contamination.
