Steps being taken to avoid spread of COVID-9 to Labrador Inuit Communities

The Nunatsiavut Government wishes to advise that non-essential travel for all employees will be restricted immediately until further notice. As well, all Nunatsiavut Government sponsored events, meetings, workshops, etc. involving participants from multiple communities are being cancelled at this time.

These precautionary measures are being put in place to help prevent unnecessary contact or potential spread of the COVID-19 to Labrador Inuit communities.

There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador to date.
