Public Use Microdata File

The Canadian Community Health Survey: Public Use Microdata File, 2007/2008, is now available. Data were collected from over 130,000 respondents aged 12 or older, residing in households in all provinces and territories.The file provides data for 102 health regions or combined health regions across Canada and includes information on a wide range of topics, including physical activity, height and weight, smoking, exposure to second-hand smoke, alcohol consumption, general health, chronic health conditions, injuries, and use of health care services. It also provides information on the socio-demographic, income and labour force characteristics of the population.

The product is provided on CD-ROM with a built-in “Beyond 20/20” application.
