Several evac orders and alerts rescinded in West Kelowna, Westbank First Nation – Kelowna Now

Central Okanagan Emergency Operations (CORD) was able to rescind several evacuation orders and alerts in connection to the McDougall Creek wildfire Monday evening.
The orders were lifted for 25 properties along Westside Road that are within City of West Kelowna boundaries, which will be listed at the bottom of this story.
CORD also rescinded the alerts for all remaining areas of Westbank First Nation, as well as some sections of Lower Glenrosa, Smith Creek and Westbank Centre, Shannon Lake and West Kelowna Business Park.

“Crews are working diligently to remove hazards, restore infrastructure and reduce fire risks to make remaining evacuation order areas safe for return,” CORD said in a release.
