The Department of Health is seeking interested individuals to serve as members on future Boards of Inquiry as mandated in several health profession acts in Nunavut.
The role of the members is to review submissions and evidence related to allegations made against registered health professionals in Nunavut.
Each Board of Inquiry runs independently and holds hearings to reach a final decision based on the evidence presented. A board could require several preliminary meetings to establish rules of order and preliminary work. Having members with a diversity of skills, experiences and backgrounds adds strength to a Board of Inquiry.
An honorarium is paid as per Directive 810, GN Financial Administration Manual.
