Position Summary
Interior Health has an exciting career opportunity for a Section Head – General Radiology, CT, Mammography within our Medical Imaging team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC.Working in accordance with established vision and values of the organization and reporting to the Professional Practice Leader (PPL), this position is responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination, evaluation, planning and monitoring of the General Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT) and Mammography departments in accordance with Interior Health Medical Imaging goals and directions. Acts as an expert clinical resource to staff and students working in these sections.

In concert with the PPL, the Section Head directs the operation of the General Radiology, CT and Mammography areas. This position is responsible for providing input on budget initiatives, workload, strategic/tactical planning, labor relations, change management, patient safety, project management and human resources management. The incumbent is responsible in consultation with the key stakeholders for interpreting and implementing all organizational regulations, policies and procedures as they apply to General Radiology, CT and Mammography.

The shift times for this position are 07:30-15:30, 08:00-16:00 and 09:00-1700. There is on-call associated with this position.

Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited medical radiological technology program and four years’ recent related experience within CT/Mammography including two years’ of supervisory/management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Certification in CT and/or Mammography.
• Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
