The Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) invites you to join us for workshops geared towards First Nations people living with disabilities in Manitoba.
You are invited to join a Housing Resource Information Session hosted by the First Nations Disability Program at the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO).
When: Friday, February 21, 2025
Time: 1 to 2:30 pm
Where: Unit 105-1555 St. James Street in Winnipeg
This site is wheelchair accessible.
If you cannot attend in person, a virtual option is available via Microsoft Teams. You will receive a link after you register.
Learn about the requirements to access the financial resources offered through the Manitoba Rent Relief Fund and Rent Assist.
You can also hear about a new initiative to build an accessible and affordable housing facility for people living with physical or complex disabilities, presented by CoHabit.
Refreshments and a door prize will be provided for in-person participants!

Join us to learn about the recent changes to Children’s disABILITY Services (CDS) for First Nation children living on reserve.
Our Jordan’s Principle and First Nations Disability Program, in partnership with the Manitoba Department of Families, is hosting two information sessions:
In-person session: March 4, 2-4 pm at SSCY Centre, 1155 Notre Dame (site is wheelchair accessible)
Virtual session via Zoom: March 11, 6:30-8:30 pm (register for Zoom link)
