Sarnia and Lambton County activate emergency control groups – Sarnia Observer

Groups of senior officials with the City of Sarnia and County of Lambton have both begun holding daily teleconference calls to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Sarnia’s Primary Control Group began holding 9 a.m. conference calls daily on Friday, said Mayor Mike Bradley.

The city’s chief administrative officer is chairperson of the group “mandated to deal with any emergency in the community,” Bradley said.

Senior city managers, including the police and fire chiefs, take part, along with Mayor Bradley and the chief of the Aamjiwnaang First Nation.

Dr. Sudit Ranade, Lambton County’s medical officer of health, is also on the calls.
