Anishinaabe Bimaadiziwin Research Program makes contribution to First Nation health care in northwest
The Anishinaabe Bimaadiziwin Research Program (ABRP), a joint initiative of Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) and the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA), has no shortage of health issues to tackle.
Responsible for a region of 38,500 square kilometres and 31 fly-in First Nation communities with a multitude of health and social problems, physicians and health care administrators in the two organizations have more need for a robust research program than most communities.
