Reduced services at Gjoa Haven community health centre

The Department of Health is advising residents of Gjoa Haven of reduced services at the health centre effective immediately due to the community-wide power outage.

The health centre remains open for emergencies and urgent same day appointments. If you have an emergency, please visit the health centre.

Service reductions or closures are subject to change based on the status of the power outage.

Please remember to use all camp stoves outdoors to prevent carbon monoxide from entering your home.

The Department of Health is working with government and territorial partners to ensure Nunavummiut have access to necessary health services.
