Wendake, July 10, 2025 – In conjunction with the 2025 pre-Annual General Assembly and Annual General Assembly, community and organization representatives were pleased to gather at the Entourage sur-le-Lac Hotel to review the past year’s achievements and discuss the FNQLHSSC’s future priorities.
Following the elections, the FNQLHSSC is very pleased to announce the composition of its new Board of Directors:
President: Derek Montour, from Kahnawake
Vice-President of Health: David McLaren, from Kebaowek
Vice-President of Social Services: Sophie Picard, from Wendake
Secretary-Treasurer: Donna Metallic, from Listuguj
Other directors: Eniko Neashish, from Wemotaci, Marcelline Tshernish, from Uashat mak Mani-Utenam and Sophie Paul, from Pessamit

The FNQLHSSC wishes to express its gratitude to the Board members for their constant engagement and remarkable dedication to the organization and First Nations communities and organizations. Their ongoing contributions play a key role in advancing our collective mission.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our outgoing Board members for their invaluable collaboration over the years. We wish them the utmost success and satisfaction in their professional and personal endeavours.
The two workshops and two presentations on public health among First Nations at the pre-annual general assembly allowed for an in-depth exploration of key themes such as wellness, the social determinants of health, and the importance of a collective approach to addressing pervasive community concerns.
During the AGA, President Derek Montour presented his activity report covering the highlights of the past year. As for Executive Director Marjolaine Siouï, she unveiled the FNQLHSSC’s annual report and presented the priority projects that will guide the FNQLHSSC’s actions in 2025-2026.
