Professional Relationships in Aboriginal Diabetes Education (PRIADE) Conference

PRIADE is an opportunity for Health Professionals working with the Aboriginal community to reflect on both Western medicine and Aboriginal holistic ways. The theme of our PRIADE is “New Beginnings and Balance.” This workshop will address the need for increased awareness and knowledge of the seriousness of diabetes in Aboriginal communities using a well rounded holistic foundation facilitated by Cultural workers, Nurses, Dietitians, Doctors, and guest speakers. This dynamic and empowering workshop will leave participants with the skills to address Diabetes management and wellness from a truly holistic perspective and approach. The workshop is located at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Community Services Building at 10415 – 111 Avenue in the gymnasium (Room 167). For further questions, please contact the Aboriginal Diabetes Wellness Program at (780) 735-4512.
