TORONTO, Dec. 3 – Key spokespersons for the 25 in 5 Network for Poverty Reduction will hold a media briefing to assess the December 4 planned announcement by the Ontario government on poverty reduction.
The government announcement is expected at 1:00 pm; 25 in 5 will provide commentary on the plan soon after, at 2:30 pm at the Queen’s Park Media Studio. <>
The 25 in 5 Network for Poverty Reduction consists of more than 350 organizations across the province representing thousands of individuals working to eliminate poverty.
The Network has been calling on the Ontario government to commit to a plan with clear targets, timelines, and accountability, including a commitment to reduce poverty in Ontario by 25% in the next five years.
