Pic Mobert FN: Urgent Notice to All Residents concerning Dogs Running loose

May 20, 2016

Last night, an adult Band member was bitten by a dog running loose. The bite was serious and resulted in stitches. This was the third time this animal had bitten someone. The APS Police were notified, have quarantined the dog and it will likely be put down.

Dogs running loose are a very serious health and safety issue for our Community and must stop immediately.

All residents of Mobert are required to keep their dogs tied up.

Effective immediately, there will be ZERO TOLERANCE on this matter. Persons who do not keep their animals tied up at all times may be charged, fined and have their animals confiscated and/or put down.

Pets are part of our families, but they must never put adults and children at risk of injury.

This notice was issued under the direction of the Chief and Council in the interests of the health and safety of our Community.
