Phillip White-Cree Speaks at CCH – Cornwall Seaway News

Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) welcomed Phillip White-Cree, a historian from Clarkson University and member of the Akwesasne community, for a special staff presentation titled “Akwesasne Today” on September 25. Hosted by the hospital’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the event was held in recognition of the then upcoming National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
White-Cree’s presentation delivered an overview of Akwesasne’s history, and the community’s continued journey toward self-determination. The session provided staff with greater insight into the lived realities of local Indigenous Peoples and the broader context of reconciliation.
