The Southern Chiefs’ Organization is partaking in Treaty Days Celebrations with many of our member communities.
SCO will be in Little Black River First Nation on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, and shall set up a booth to provide important resource information and material regarding Pandemic Influenza for all of our constituents. In addition, an information booklet will be provided for children which includes a pencil and crayons. This fun and interactive package helps educate children on the importance of proper hand washing techniques, while preventing the spread of germs and viruses.
In partnership with the Radisson Hotel located at 288 Portage Avenue (owned and operated by First Nations through the Tribal Council Investors Group) and, in partnership with Place Louis Riel Suite Hotel located at 190 Smith Street in Winnipeg, SCO will be handing out sample bars of hand and facial soap. We are truly grateful for this assistance, as the purpose of this is to further help educate our community members on the importance of healthy hygiene practices.
SCO will also provide a fabulous door prize for each Treaty Days Celebration it participates in, which shall be drawn at the closing of the event.
The door prize includes:
A Southern Chiefs’ Organization Leather Ball Cap
Southern Chiefs’ Organization golf balls and tees
A Golf Shirt (or a dress shirt)
SCO pens, pencils, note pads and other great merchandise
We invite all of our constituents to come out and join us. Please invite your family, friends and neighbours from other communities to come out and join us. Also, be sure to come by the SCO booth, pick up your material on Pandemic Influenza and enter your name for a chance win this great door prize.
