Oneida Nation of the Thames – Announcing the Public Access Defribrillation Program (PAD Program)

According to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in Ontario alone, approximately 7,000 cardiac arrests occur each year. The odds of survival for an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest are approximately five percent. With each passing minute, the probability of survival declines by seven to ten percent. The Heart and Stroke Foundation, in partnership with the Ontario Government, is making possible the purchase, installation and associated training for 2000 AED’s under the Heart and Stroke Restart a Heart, Restart a Life Campaign, to be placed in Communities across the Province. We would like to cordially invite everyone to attend our PAD Programs official launch in our Community on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Oneida Nation of the Thames Community Centre, 2017 Ball Park Rd. Middlesex Centre. A special presentation and demonstration will be made regarding the donation of Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) through the Heart and Stroke Restart a Heart, Restart a Life Campaign to the Oneida Nation of the Thames Community.
