Positive cases in Dryden and Sioux Lookout bring the NWHU’s total to four.
DRYDEN – Two new positive cases of COVID-19 have occurred in Northwestern Ontario.
The Northwestern Health Unit reports new cases of the coronavirus in Dryden and Sioux Lookout.
To date four positive cases have been found by the NWHU, with 182 tests coming back negative and 168 pending. A fifth case reported in the area resides primarily in southern Ontario and has not been to the NWHU area since contracting the virus while travelling internationally.
Eight cases have been positively identified in Thunder Bay, while another was revealed this week in Nipigon.
As a result, Lac Seul First Nation has decided to move to a Level Orange alert and a Level 2 office closure, meaning non-essential staff will work for home and there will be restricted access at FMH Bridge, mearning only residents and essential staff will be allowed in.
