Nunavut Midwifery Registration Committee seeking two members

The Department of Health has two openings for enthusiastic individuals willing to serve on the Nunavut Midwifery Registration Committee, mandated by the Midwifery Profession Act.

The Nunavut Midwifery Registration Committee advises the minister on matters such as midwifery services, applications for registration, midwifery standards and skills, including the incorporation of traditional Inuit midwifery knowledge skills and judgment.

Members should be prepared to devote two to five hours per month to meetings and related activities, like research and reviewing documents. Midwives and Government of Nunavut employees are not eligible for these positions. This is a volunteer role.
