Nunatsiavut Government: Sincerest thanks to our Public Health and support staff during these uncertain times

Press Release

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all Public Health staff with the Nunatsiavut Department of Health and Social Development who have been working tirelessly on the frontlines, and to other support staff working behind the scenes, as we continue the fight against COVID-19.

As President of Nunatsiavut, I am truly inspired by the sacrifices our staff have made during these unprecedented and challenging times. They have certainly risen to the challenge to do their part in keeping our communities safe, and they have responded with compassion, courage, resolve and professionalism in keeping residents informed of all developments as they arise.

The successful administration of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in our communities is a prime example of what can be accomplished when people work together to reach a common goal.

As we all continue to adjust to new daily routines during this pandemic – which has impacted so many of us in so many different ways, both professionally and personally – it is important to acknowledge just how valuable the services our employees provide to the Nunatsiavut Government and to our communities.

I want to wish all Nunatsiavut Government staff safety and health as they forge ahead to get us to the other side of this pandemic.

With deepest respect,

Johannes Lampe
President
