Nunatsiavut Assembly dissolved & Meeting being held in Nain to discuss tuberculosis

As per section 4.5.3 of the Labrador Inuit Constitution, the current Nunatsiavut Assembly is officially dissolved at noon on the first Tuesday of April prior to the ordinary general election set for May 1, 2018. Ordinary members are not permitted to conduct Constituency business until the new Nunatsiavut Assembly is sworn-in following the May 1 election. Members of the Nunatsiavut Executive Council will continue to carry out regular duties during this time.

Officials with the Nunatsiavut Department of Health & Social Development in partnership with Labrador Grenfell Health will hold a public information session at the Jerry Sillett Community Centre from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 to discuss issues around Tuberculosis.

Members of the public who have questions or concerns about Tuberculosis are urged to attend.
