NU Government: Accreditation Canada 2019 Survey

May 01, 2019

Iqaluit Health Services (IHS) is participating in Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum Program that sets national standards for quality and safety in healthcare. As part of this ongoing process, Accreditation Canada surveyors will conduct an on-site survey from May 12 to 16, 2019. The purpose of this voluntary survey is to examine our services, celebrate successes and identify areas for improvement to meet national standards for quality and patient safety.

Accreditation Canada Surveyors are external reviewers who assess the organization against national standards, provide feedback on healthcare service delivery and encourage continuous learning. IHS received a four-year accreditation designation in 2015 and has been working on enhancements in response to the 2015 accreditation recommendations.

During the on-site survey, Accreditation Canada Surveyors may want to speak with staff, partner organizations, patients and community members with their approval to participate. Speaking with the accreditation Canada Surveyors is optional. Your care will not be impacted in any way and there will not be any disruption to healthcare services.
