In cooperation with the Lax Kw’alaams Administration, Council and emergency response coordination in relation to the evolution of the COVID-19 virus, significant measures have been implemented to ensure best COVID-19 practices in-regards to transportation to and from Prince Rupert and Lax Kw’alaams. Please note that as of March 18, 2020 Lax Kw’alaams Ferry Corporation will be enforcing measures directly related to the most recent “Advisory to the Residents of Lax Kw’alaams – COVID-19” (more info: http://laxkwalaams.ca/advisory-to-the-residents-of-lax-kwalaams-covid-19/).
Effective Immediately:
Please understandthat the Lax Kw’alaams Ferry Corporation is working closely with the Lax Kw’alaams Administration and Council to support the efforts to reduce the transmission and evolution of COVID-19 in our community. The Ferry Corporation has and will be increasing our efforts to support rigorous cleaning routines and passenger area limitations. We understand that our Ferry Service is an essential service and we will be taking reasonable measures to ensure that the community’s priorities are met. Please follow and share these updates as the evolution of this situation progress’.
